Potential Side Effects from Surgery for Kaposi’s Sarcoma

The side effects depend on what kind of surgery you have. Surgery for Kaposi’s sarcoma (KS) may cause any of these side effects.

  • Bleeding

  • Infection

  • Irritation of the skin at the surgery site

  • Wound infection and poor wound healing in people with AIDS
